I recently received the fall issue of my Food & Nutrition magazine from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Inside they listed some new apps that can help patients and dietitians alike. Apps can be a great way to help you stay on track and motivate you. Here are a few apps that can be helpful specifically for the bariatric patient:
Waterlogged-This app tracks your fluid intake throughout the day to ensure that you are meeting your fluid goals. You can even set alerts to remind you to drink.
MakeMe– This is a fun app that uses group and social interaction to help you achieve your goals. You can get a group together to hold each other accountable for a certain challenge. There are even fun consequences if you don’t stick to your goals!
Baritastic– This app is the Queen Bee for bariatric patients as it allows you to track your nutrition and exercise along with a containing a bunch of other weight loss resources.
Do you use apps on your phone to help keep you motivated and on track? What are your favorites?
