Weight Loss Surgery is a lifetime commitment that requires the individual to manage choices in food intake with adequate protein, portion sizes, drinking plenty of water, enough sleep, and physical activity.
In our support group this past week, individuals pre and post weight surgery participated in a time-management activity to uncover obstacles that hinder success with the tool of weight loss surgery.
The top obstacle discussed was not making time to exercise because of work, caring for others, and physical pain.
It is important that we strive for balance in how we use time. “Gift” yourself more time to play, more time to eat healthy (not skip meals), more time to exercise, more time for people who are important to you, more time with beloved pets, and more time to sleep/rest.
Take a look at the attached activity to discover your barriers to proper time management and how we can change those habits.
